Excellent benefits, not as competitive for pay.

      Pros

-All the benefits you would expect from a bank lifestyle -Being able to purchase PTO (pay in off paycheck to cover a select amount of PTO) helps with a deficit when you’re planning on taking vacation -Ability to work from home -Good management -CEO always has an excellent outlook for the bank -Really good bank to start your financial career since it’s a smaller bank it feels like everything is within reach when you’re learning your role.

      Cons

-Pay wise they don’t really compensate you for the amount of stress/work that comes along with it. -Seniority doesn’t really seem to matter to them. -When they raise the minimum pay for their colleagues it never was carried over throughout the bank, only the tellers really only saw the benefits of it.

      Pros

      The PTO and the Benefits.

      Cons

Middle management are clueless and unprofessional. Hiring people from outside the banking industry to a management position when they do not have the knowledge and understanding of what they speak is incredible condescending and frustrating to a seasoned manager.

      Don't stay too long

      Pros

The office I worked at was small, easy to access, and coworkers were friendly.

      Cons

Decent place to get your foot in the door but raises are small change. Management is unprofessional. No room for growth opportunity. Stay long enough to learn a few things and then hit the pavement for comparable jobs that pay 20-30% more with less stress. Hiring process with background checks took 2 months.

      Pros

401k, stock options, decent amount of pto/sick time

      Cons

Too much pressure on sales expectations - makes employees feel the need to sell before assisting clients. Management at the time did not know how to use banking systems and had little knowledge but expected all employees - bankers specifically to know all and make a sale in every interaction.

Great Place for an Office Job

Aug 19, 2021 - Loan Servicing Specialist in Stevens Point, WI

      Pros

Associated Bank was a very nice place to work. I onboarded as a Loan Servicing Tech and quickly advanced in rank, as well as earned a promotion. There's definitely room to move around within departments, so plenty of opportunity to work your way up. Pay is good and People there are nice, but mostly stressed out. I will say, you have to be able to handle multiple moving puzzle pieces, and stress, and remain business professional. This job is great for a motivated person who is great at interpersonal communication and enjoys complex problem solving. I did love that Associated bank pushed for Health & Wellness of it's employees by offering gym membership discounts, and encourages employees to get up and be active through the day.

      Cons

Sitting all day. (Not everyone gets an adjustable-desk - only those with orthopedic issues or as prescribed by their physicians) High Stress. Complex Problem Solving. Cubicle-life. Might not see the Sun or Sky, depending on where your cubicle is.

      My experience

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Offers great opportunities for colleagues professional development and career growth. Provides colleagues with opportunity to have visibility and transparency with leadership. And most importantly creates and inclusive workplace culture for all. I enjoy being apart of our colleague resources groups, and having the platform to network and build relationships with other colleagues in other areas of the bank who have shared interests and passion for DEI. And appreciate the support of the leadership within the organization.

      Cons

There are some weeks where you have to put in longer hours however my team and manager is great at providing support as needed and we have flexible work schedules so it is not really a "con" for me.

      Cons

There isn't much flexibility when it comes to schedules.
