I have been working at BGRS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Generous PTO, 401k match, ability to work from home a day or two a week, and ability to use flex time. I enjoy the fact my manager doesn’t micromanage me and supports me when I need it.

    Cons

Outsourcing of admin tasks to India is creating some minor headaches.

    Advice to Management

Keep winning the big clients, it’s a matter of time before competitors fold!

I worked at BGRS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

employees try to succeed but management doesn't work as hard

    Cons

manager fires or forces resignation through over critical work environment

    Advice to Management

After 1.5 years I was most senior employee on my team. Manager overworked or fired everyone on my team. I finally quit since HR would not allow me to apply for other positions. No company keep good employees if managers aren't worth working for.

I worked at BGRS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

With many years invested in this company , I have seen it go from respected ,strong and one of the leaders in the industry to a small, ill managed click. With almost 12 million lost in sales at the end of 2018, this is more than a fluke in business.
Clients have voiced the unwillingness of management to support the needs in today's global mobility. The internal employees are tired angry and the environment is toxic. Upper management continues to employ their children without giving respect to employees that have invested many years into the company. And these are the pros, folks!

    Cons

Too political, no room for growth, little to no support in training to work with a failed system. Old tire management styles. It's like they want the company to fail, or maybe send all the work outside the US.

    Advice to Management

Replace the archaic ways of management, listen to the employees, after all they have the ear of the client in most cases. Replace the CEO who supports sending the business to other countries because it's cheaper. Their words.

I worked at BGRS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible work schedules, generous PTO

    Cons

Many roles shifted to India office without appropriate training/oversight. Company invested in a new single system to streamline workflows and automate fees logically but then decided to use the same “trickle down” training method for consultants. Revenue capture will never be automated as a result which is counterproductive - Garbage in garbage out.
Serious concerns with the ethics of the company. No transparency or accountability when errors happen. Unless the client finds the error, management only fixes the issue going forward.
No internal or external communication of process changes in various departments. Departments work in silos and have no concerns with potential downstream effects internally or with the clients.
Adversarial relationship between client servicing and accounting is not productive in meeting client needs/ expectations.

    Advice to Management

Winning client business is not the same as keeping it. Relocation is not a black/white process that can be documented in an SOP for the India teams in many cases. Invest in a back to basics training for your client services teams so they actually understand how their actions or lack of actions impact revenue ie fee/referral triggers - they are in control of revenue they just don’t know it. Without comprehensive training, your new system is essentially worthless. Be accountable to your clients when mistakes are made. Remember ethics is doing the right thing even when nobody’s looking which has unfortunately been lost.
