Trust in work but slow decision-making processes

Pros

In my last few years I was pretty much left to get on with my work. I think this was the effect of the Covid epidemic, as it meant managers couldn't have the strict control on their staff they did before, and had to trust them more

Cons

The 20 years of no overall majority means it is a very political place to work , and decisions need to be be double checked before they are approved , meaning it is a very slow process for things getting done. Post covid the atmosphere of the place changed and very few people came into the office ,so there was not that sharing of ideas or companionship. I was surprised how little I missed working there after being there more than 10 years

Pros

Excellent job, great for mental and physical fitness, doing something good for the community and a really great team.

Cons

Can get a bit dirty, but to be expected.
