    There is no such cons.. Except connectivity is poor.The target set is high.. You have to deal with great work pressure.

    Pros

    False Sense of Self Grandeur, Indulging yourself in it will make you feel like the Maharajah of Kolkata

    Cons

    People will use lobby to get in front of you, people who work hard will get nothing, there is complete foot licking culture, no actual learning, union people doesn't work, waste work culture, no development through accountability and responsibility, backstabbers everywhere

    Pros

    - One of the best companies in India to work with
    - If you want to invest your initial career to get solid knowledge and skills, then this is the place for you
    - Top management is easily accessible and supportive
    - Colleagues are like friends
    - If you are looking for job security then the company is ideal
    - Best place to share and enrich your knowledge

    Cons

    - Growth is very limited. Very few get the desired hike
    - City based job opportunity has decreased. Most of the recent openings are in rural side
    - Lobbying happens

    Advice to Management

    - Please come out of the thinking that "First impression is the last impression"
    - Please judge the performance based on the jobs given to that employee. CHP and BTG should be treated as equally important, at least while judging the performance for an employee

    Very old fashioned company and slow to change, no work life balance

    Please promote middle management and younger professionals.

    I have been working at CESC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The good thing is that you can live in Kolkata , a city with very low cost of living.

    Cons

    If you are an engineer you will be treated as slave and if you are an illiterate than nothing is better than this job. you can take as many holidays as you can, even after taking a leave of 48 days without any intimation or information you can join the job. If you are an engineer you will be kicked to distant places.

    Engineers are also human being
