CSI, horrible place to work, unless you enjoy abuse.

Pros

CSI Support And Development provides a steady paycheck, 401k, vacation pay, sick pay, holiday pay and a good medical benefits package, with optical and dental.

Cons

Low pay, angry tenants, disgruntled employees (rightfully so) demoralizing atmosphere. Constant problems with tenants because they use a “co-op” system which doesn’t work and creates numerous problems for tenants and employees. current operations management constantly derails motivated employees. If you are smart, ambitious and have a lot of great ideas, come work here and you will be quickly shot down, demoralized and demotivated.

Pros

CSI is a wonderful blend of a team and family. We are proud of our deep heritage and dedicated to protecting and promoting our identity as a member focused Co-operative. While firmly rooted in our history, we are not intransigent when it comes to accepting new ideas and techniques that are in line with our principles. CSI may have celebrated 70 years in 2015 but our best years are yet to come. Excited, motivated, thinkers are encouraged to shape that future and here each person who so desires has a chance to put their fingerprints on that legacy.

Cons

Inter-departmental communications are sometimes hindered by inconsistent policies, as procedures require updating and consistency to reflect both growth and operational tempo. Some of the most crucial positions in the company do not feel how much we appreciate them or how vital they are to our success because the operational tempo hinders managements ability to celebrate them for their contributions. Being a co-operative means that we share burdens but also share success, we need to ensure that from Janitor to General Manager, everyone knows that they are valued and a crucial, vital, celebrated part of our team.
