Pros

A paycheck...if it arrives on time. (It often didn't, or was an incorrect amount, which is highly concerning)

Cons

Working at Cal Solar was an absolute disaster from the moment I walked in the door. If I could give negative stars, I would. From toxic management to a complete lack of professionalism, this company epitomizes everything that's wrong with corporate culture. First, let’s talk about the mismanagement. The leadership team, if you can even call them that, had no idea what they were doing. Decisions were made on a whim, with zero regard for logic or the employees who had to clean up the mess. Communication was a joke—if you could even get an answer to your questions, it was usually wrong or completely irrelevant. Management didn’t care about employees as people; we were nothing more than cogs in a broken machine. The CEO Sean Neman has literally said multiple times during wide team and company meetings that it this company is a pet project of his and that he prefers to focus on his family's real estate business instead. The work environment? Don’t even get me started. The culture was cutthroat and utterly toxic. Favoritism by Sean (CEO) was rampant, and if you weren’t in the “inner circle,” you were treated like dirt. Any attempt to offer feedback or make improvements was met with hostility or indifference. You could work yourself into the ground, and it would still never be good enough. The constant stress, unrealistic expectations, and blatant disregard for work-life balance were a nightmare. The company’s values were a complete lie. They claim to care about their employees, but that’s nothing more than a PR gimmick. In reality, they’re only interested in exploiting you for as much as they can get. Expect to be underpaid, overworked, and completely unappreciated. If you have any sense of self-worth or career ambition, stay as far away from Cal Solar as possible. This is a place where talent is wasted, morale is crushed, and you’ll be left wondering why you ever thought this could be a good opportunity. Save yourself the headache, and find a company that actually knows how to treat people with respect.

Pros

They feel its ok because we get a paycheck that can treat employees like trash.

Cons

It’s like a gang and they side with their friends of family they hired. The office does nothing about complaints, harassment, bullying. Guys be cussing and fighting on jobs.

Pros

possible flexibility to have hybrid type role

Cons

poor communication, awful processes no checks and balances and your the scapegoat when stuff goes wrong. The demand and expectations are insane its understandably busy but they need to communicate better what and who they need or want. Had some increased anxiety issues while there and at first wanted to work things out but the more i tried to talk about it the more they prefered to wash their hands of me, but I am definitely much happier where im at now. A bunch of kids right out of school who have no experience in leadership or experience. Definitely seemed in a way clique & hired their own typ of people as well and i didnt seem to fit in their mold.
