Pros

I have had the opportunity to take many of the Cheetah Learning courses. Got my PMP, PMI-ACP and CCPM (Cheetah certified project manager) certs by taking their classes. Because I was able to pass the global exams on my first attempt I'm a firm believer it what Cheetah does AND how my job can help other succeed. AND, the CCPM - which in my opinion is really the most beneficial because I stay focused, get projects done fast and negotiate with others in a way the is beneficial for all - makes me very proud to work for Cheetah and talk about their products. If I had to go work anywhere else I can take what I learned just from using my current companies products to succeed. Not to mention, the desire to share success (my success is your success) comes down from the Chief Cheetah - CEO/owner.

Cons

Bec we are global and a totally virtual company, we are compensated on our results (which is a fantastic thing bec we are all set up to succeed)...rather than punching a clock and getting paid to "show up" While this works GREAT for me, there are others who start w cheetah but quickly learn the virtual environment is not for them; they need an office to go to and see other people. Also, you do need to be very self-discipline and self-motivated to take a call from across the country/different timezone in the evening or over the weekend.......if you can balance that out and comfortable take breaks during the day so you don't get "out of balance". Also, you should have a family who understands Cheetah becomes a lifestyle - the company truly runs 24/7....The Boss is a firm believer in work/life balance - and you need to be able to tap into your own innate strengths/challenges to also balance your life and work. (which btw is another thing I learned in the CCPM). Employees need to be ready to move fast, expect change, and be comfortable with changing directions quickly. (Lessons from the PMI-ACP and CCPM will help with that)

Pros

Cheetah Learning is a growing company with great employees. Everyone works well together and encourages each other. Working for an online company from home is always a great benefit. I got my CAPM for free and working towards my PMP.

Cons

Working from home causes a little bit of a communication deficit. It is hard to schedule meetings with people across the country. Also, over the phone it's hard to know someone's true emotions.
