      Pros

      This start-up company, for its size, boasted an incredibly competent and seasoned management team. The Engineering group was very experienced in many storage technologies and in Fibre-Channel architecture. Their product line was quite advanced compared to the competition, and was designed to eliminate the risk of sensitive data falling into the wrong hands.

      Cons

      The difficulty of marketing a data-encrypting product without an instantly-recognizable brand name is a formidible challenge. Prospective customers are very hesitant to entrust a small company's product with the vital responsibility of encrypting their data, and with un-encrypting the data when needed, regardless of the number of benchmarks, trials, and guarantees.
