    Pros

-Great colleagues who care about their jobs and the purpose as much as you do.
-Benefits are great and pay fairly competitive, and actually fairly good when comparing against other nonprofits.
-Always busy but still able to have a life.

    Cons

-Some middle management could use better training.

    Advice to Management

-More clarity on organizational changes between leadership and staff.

I worked at Clinton Foundation (More than 3 years)

    Pros

CF and CGI employ some of the brightest people you'll ever work with. Most of them truly care about the state of the world and their individual contribution to its betterment. There is also an emphasis on team contributions, rather than individual contributions, so it's less competitive internally than some other places I've worked (and at CF, there is a lot more at stake re: office politics, so that's a real accomplishment).

    Cons

High turn-over, low pay. People use this as a short pitstop onto bigger things, which is unfortunate.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in your staff so that they stay put longer.

I have been working at Clinton Foundation full-time

    Pros

If you're a progressive/liberal person, there aren't many better blue-chip organizations out there. As a resume builder, it's great.

    Cons

Whereas we are a non profit/charity, it can feel at times that the political considerations of our leadership become the driving force behind some of the overall strategic decision making.

    Advice to Management

Have personal, confidential conversations with your staff, top to bottom, before making decisions about what works, what doesn't, who should get promoted, laid off, etc...

I have been working at Clinton Foundation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great opportunity to take on lots of responsibility while young, opportunities for travel for those in international programs, can see the real-world impact of your work, and feels great to work for a truly impactful organization surrounded by driven individuals. Foundation truly lives by its values and employees are passionate about development and charity. Benefits are good -- full 401k matching up to 6%, and healthcare 100% covered by the Foundation.

    Cons

Highly politicized and constantly (unfairly) attacked on the news. Opportunities for growth also mean young managers who may not have had experience managing people. As with any non-profit, the pay is lower than an equivalent private-sector job.

    Pros

Incredible internship opportunity. Hard-working staff, care about employee wellness. Interesting work and interns are given opportunites to network and attend workshops.

    Cons

At times there was very little work to do. After a few weeks the work picked up quickly.

    Advice to Management

Great work environment, wonderful job with the internship program.

    Pros

Opportunity to work on really interesting projects that push the boundaries of traditional international development work. Awesome speaker series and tons of professional development!

    Cons

They only offered limited working hours. < 30 hrs

    Advice to Management

    Better feedback sessions.

    Pros

    Health Benefits, that's about it.

    Cons

Terrible management, from Directors onto Managers. The Membership Department is the worse of them all and has the highest turnover, almost half of the membership team is GONE...that should say a lot!
Salary sucks, they try to win you over on "overtime" that you barely ever get unless your working on an event, primary the "Annual Meeting"...other then that, no real overtime is offered.
No growth opportunities, even though they'll say it is – LIES LIES LIES!!!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Restructure your management, especially some of your Directors!

Different opportunities to hear the Clinton's speak

    Working Hours are pretty good.

Professional development opportunities are readily available
