Pros

Learned a lot about PR. Great group of people to work with.

Cons

Like all jobs the hours worked can be many. But worth the effort.

Toxic environment - do not work here

Pros

- Working in the Hancock tower - Getting to work on some large brands - Generally good people to work with (with one notable exception)

Cons

The major downside is the owner/founder/president. All the things all the other reviewers said were true with the exception of the person who said these reviews were from one disgruntled employee. It was the most toxic environment I have ever worked in, and it all came from the top. Imagine all the advice a business book written in the last 20 years would have for running a company, then ignore it all, and do the opposite, and you have a small glimpse into how this place was run. All you need to do is look at how well the company was doing 15 years ago and how it is doing now, to understand how this place is run. With so many opportunities to work for CEO's who push you to succeed but are not abusive and derogatory, it's no wonder that the staff has constricted to the single digits. I would avoid working here at all costs.

This Might Be The Workplace From Nightmares

Pros

Aside from the major female owner, the other employees were nice. Very personable and always willing to help you solve a problem.

Cons

All of the negatives about this workplace surround the major female owner. She was never involved in the hiring process, and I can see now why she wasn't. On my first day, she yelled at me for a minor mistake I made that I didn't even know I was doing incorrectly. I wrote it off as her probably having a bad day. But the next day (and every day after that), she kept nagging and screaming about the most menial things, like the staple being in the wrong corner of the paper. Being a small company (and therefore having a small office), it was also off-putting when other more senior employees were not willing to stand up for you during or after one of the owner's screaming spells. Nobody dared cross her, but I can't blame them—they didn't want to be her next victim. I felt completely helpless working there. On one of my last days at the company, I was putting together a PowerPoint presentation, and for whatever reason, a couple of the slides didn't print (unbeknownst to me). I dropped the presentation off at her office. When she noticed the two pages missing, she came out to my cubicle and called me a f**king r**ard and asked me if I had any brain cells left.
