I worked at Concho full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great Pay Very generous healthcare plan Free drinks Very clean work environment

    Cons

-Managers seem to think micromanagement is the perfect way to manage their subordinates, when in reality all it leads to is employee distrust and frustration. -PTO includes your sick days, bereavement, and personal days so use them wisely. -Horrible time management and terrible cross communication among other departments. -Company has quietly laid off a lot of people while boasting a facade that they encourage job security. -Company policy dictates you must remain in your position for at least 1 year before moving vertically.

I have been working at Concho full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Benifits is the only pro

    Cons

Everything else. Very small raises, small bonus, not the place to be if you want to move up. Hostile work environment. Management insults and threatens to fire people on a daily basis. Typical fear mongering, bully tactic management.

I worked at Concho full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits, gym on site, free cokes and ice cream.

    Cons

I felt invisible. I constantly begged for work from superiors and they wouldnt communicate with me. Any work i got i had to find it myself from other groups. Poor communication and very toxic. Concho is doing what they call "soft layoffs" which is actually pretty harsh for those they deem un-worthy. They fire people and don't give them any sort of a package to help them along. The Concho motto " we have never laid anyone off" is quite true. They just make you disappear.

    Pros

Employee benefits, workplace amenities (onsite gym, cafeteria, Dr. office)

Toxic team and management environment. Unethical hiring and promotion practices, unsafe work environment for field employees, encouragement of unhealthy competition with in teams. Micromanagement from highest levels, insecure managers, no strategic planning. Lack of career movement or development for those who are not 'favorites'. Concho is all show with out any substance.
