  4. "Poorly ran, dysfunctional business"

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Employee discount, Benefits were ok before they were taken away without notice.

    Cons

Unprofessional management and upper management, Cut hours and benefits without notice, No cameras or panic button after several stores in my district (including my own) were broken into and robbed, No room to grow within the company, Many issues with the POS systems, Lack of communication from management, Poor pay, Lack of education on new products, Unrealistic sales goals, Disorganized management, Sales tags and flyers continuously printed incorrectly

    Advice to Management

Hire employees and managers who are not going to abuse their position for personal and selfish gain. Address issues with management and upper management as they happen, do not retaliate against or interrogate employees as I have experienced. Communicate with employees if their hours and benefits are going to be cut as mine were without warning. Focus more on the safety of your stores and employees rather than putting a ridiculous amount of money into new sound systems and revamping the stores- nobody cares about the new radios we want to feel SAFE at our jobs!

I have been working at CosmoProf full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Hours aren’t horribly late, major holidays off

    Cons

Unlivable pay, outdated technology, company cutting hours and positions, company not doing well, no oversight for store management, cuts to employee perks

    Advice to Management

Listen to store employees, they serve your customers daily and know them personally/better than management

  6. "Organized chaos"

    Pros

Wish there were some its such a sad peace td work its hard to find good

    Cons

Upper management is completely out of touch and clueless about the industry they serve . All they care about is order count . They dont understand that sales is relationship buildian and that stylists like hands on approach
Its sad how they have taken good organizations and dissected all that was good to create this giant company that has no real interest in the beauty industry other than to sell

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to who is good the will all
    Eventually leave

I have been working at CosmoProf full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lear a lot about beauty industry and products.
    Smaller stores
    Most holidays off
    Full time get bennifits

    Cons

By far the worst coorperate I've ever worked for. They do not have your back on anything. Worst is that if an unlicensed person comes in and complains to coorperate that we refused, no matter how polite we are to them, you as the employee gets in trouble and are told to sell to that unlicensed person

    Advice to Management

This is for coorperate not for store level managers: follow the rules you set in place.

    I worked at CosmoProf full-time

    Pros

Free beauty products and ability to work with the public

    Cons

Working for someone who was never there to fully train me.
Refused to work with me, for certain hours, when my mom was in the hospital.
I was capable of working, but specific hours. Was threatened if I don't work the hours given I would be fired. Yet, I was capable of working?
    Another con:
Favoritism is extremely HIGH, it's sickening.
The gossip, the pettiness. If you want to feel like an outsider and ignored, this is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

If you're so sick of your job, it's time to retire and find a job that you don't complain about on a daily basis.
