      Leadership issues, sudden firing of staff in 2015.

      Pros

      Wonderful global mission and ideals. Lots of room to explore innovative approaches to global issues. A handful of affiliate groups around the world doing amazing regional work.

      Cons

      Leadership in constant flux, awkward funding strategy, high-stress work environment. Absentee board of directors and internal politics stalled progress from 2011-2014. New CEO (Merkeley) started mid-2014, then fired more than 1/3 of staff at the beginning of 2015 without warning or cause.

      Work with worldwide network of committed activists. Excellent compensation for nonprofit.

      Cons

      Unclear strategy, high turnover, especially in last 2 years since moving to Mt View (entry should be updated to reflect that org based there now, not SF).
