Pros

Breakfast provided and I was able to get a job through a customer we worked with frequently.

Cons

They only hire family members and friends. The worst job ever, I only stayed so I could get experience. I can tell most of the positive comments are from employees who were favorites of upper management. They didn't recieve a Best place to work reward this past year due to their high turnover and snobby office culture. It's very hard to move up in the company. If offered a job take it but count on being in the same position for 5 years. They also bring people in who have less experience making more money than others.

DWM strives to provide an encouraging workplace. We have been recognized 4 separate times in the past 3 years for our positive work culture. We appreciate your feedback. At DWM, we have a flat structure that encourages outward growth instead of upward. Advancing at DWM takes diligence and proper timing. Positions have to become available at the right time for the right individual. Sometimes this means quick advancement, sometimes it may not be as fast. Some individuals are very qualified for the position s/he occupies, but would not work in another role. We remain committed to putting the right people in the right positions for the best possible performance. Our growth into a second office in Florida in 2017 displays our success in this endeavor.

We are saddened to see such a negative review as we strive to make DWM a great place to work! However, some of the information provided here has been misconstrued. We heartfully desire all employees to read and understand the Employee Handbook, which outlines our policy on Paid Time Off. Reviewing the handbook is a great way to understand company policies and can help avoid surprises after you put in your resignation. We do appreciate your feedback and plan to review the PTO policy in our next update cycle. In terms of the management, we would love to get more information on what some of the issues were that you encountered. No concerns were brought up during the exit interview, so we would be open to hearing any feedback you have.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the autonomous work environment that DWM provides. DWM trusts each employee to use their knowledge, skillset, and freedom to do what is best for the entire organization. DWM leadership wants you to feel proud for the independent thought you used to arise at a solution to each problem you encountered throughout the day. It is unfortunate to hear that you feel as if your mistakes were noticed more than your accomplishments. We have a fast paced, client-focused environment and it can be easy for little victories to go unnoticed. Our team reviews client requests and their results to ensure we are meeting our service level agreements and providing the best possible service to our clients. If client issues are not resolved effectively, we address them in real time to provide timely constructive feedback for our employees to help them improve. At the same time, when we notice employees going above and beyond, we reward them on the spot with our own personal currency, the David Buck. The risk for burn out is part of any organization, but we are happy to say that we are continually taking feedback from our employees to implement changes to make DWM a place our employees want to be! This employee feedback is utilized when creating benefit structure and policy changes including: DWM’s generous paid time off benefits and Telework Policy. DWM’s paid time off policy has no waiting period for new hires to begin accruing PTO, unlimited rollover year to year for personal time, with a cap in rollover for vacation time. DWM intentionally puts a cap on the amount of vacation hours you can roll over year to year to encourage employees to take their time off! DWM wants their employees to use the time they are earning. DWM has flexible shift scheduling. We realize that life happens outside of work. A testament to this would be DWM’s telework policy where you are able to work from home on days where it is not most opportune to make the commute or be in office. We would like to thank you for all that you accomplished in the time that you spent on DWM’s team. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve.
