    Pros

    Pay is good for area but its took 30 years to get it.Was Goodman bought buy daikin. So they taking plant to Texas.

    Cons

    Major lack of communication. Needs of company are all that matters. They could care less about employees .

    Advice to Management

    I do not see how this place has been in business as long as it has.Very unorganized and inconsiderate people.Daikin bought Goodman and is moving lt.No real surprise

    Pros

    Good benefits nice work location growing company fair pay lots of over time when available

    Cons

    Don't like hours or shift not way to grow with the company at this time have to work on nights to long just to work on days with the company

    Slime to none

    International company is sometimes difficult to coordinate with the local business.

    Pros

    Laid back, easy going and really great insurance. Usually all the overtime you want to work and a 401K. Help pay for safety glasses and steel toe shoes!

    Cons

    many years of brazing and welding smoke. Very hot because they're is no air conditioning and that's when it seems you work the most overtime is int the summer months

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees like you want to be treated. Some of the management does ignore the suggestions of the employees

    Awesome staff, great learning experience

    Very fast paced and thought intensive work

    Advice to Management

    Try to develops the apprentices more by offering official classroom style training more often

    I worked at Daikin full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Its a job, if you can drive a forklift or clamp in that environment, you can drive it anywhere.

    Cons

    No bonuses, last year instead of giving employees a cost of living raise, they gave a lump sum check which was heavily taxed. Poor set up, inconsistent management. No employee recongnition.

    Advice to Management

    Happy employees make good employees

    Daikin has deep pockets and most of the Japanese are very friendly.

    Cons

    Dealing with micromanagement from mid management personnel who are unqualified.

    Advice to Management

    Reduce the size of middle mgt.

    Pros

    Daikin's commitment to the overarching goal of Global #1 means emphasis on quality, kaizen and quick response to identified issues. Lots of changes for the good.
    I enjoy helping development, marketing and engineering teams work together. The new leadership in the US is motivated and experienced, ready to make Daikin McQuay a force to be reckoned with.

    Cons

    Blending of Daikin and McQuay corporate cultures is not an easy process, especially with language differences. Cross-functional communication is still difficult, with heirarchy slowing the flow of information.

    Advice to Management

    Be open to leaner decision-making processes. Facilitate cooperation between locations with strong leadership at the top.
