Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Dallas College full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Great coworkers, decent pay, good benefits, good students
Cons
Since the restructuring of this organization, there has been little to NO communication regarding where current employees stand or how thw structure will work. Upper leadership pretends to know what they are planning but everything has been so piece meal that current employees are working I the dark. We are also expected to do an inordinate amount of work with no clear outlines or training of how it is supposed to be done or why. Things are made more complicated than they need to be and the students are suffering for it. People have not been told they will be fired; but, instead, told they need not apply for the new jobs if they don't meet the new qualifications. These are people with Years worth of experience and knowledge being thrown out without a significant warning that this would happen. Leadership should be ashamed of what they are doing to their employees during this time where it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find a job. They bungled this entire process and still, refuse to say thank you for the work employees continue to do despite that most will be fired in less than a month.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Dallas College full-time
Pros
Good benefits, although those may soon be reduced
Cons
Since the reorganization from DCCCD to Dallas College, this has become an awful place to work. Jobs are very unstable. Quality of work no longer matters, only quantity. Changes to policy and procedures are constant and not well planned. Education is no longer the focus, even though it is a college. It is more like a social service agency that offers degrees as an afterthought. The education students get is low quality and does not prepare them to succeed at a university. Employees are treated like they are disposable and their mental and physical health is not important. Employee morale is extremely low. I used to love working here, now I can’t wait to leave.
