    Pros

Most partners are decent. Hours are not completely crazy (although late nights do occur). Good compensation.

    Cons

Some partners are awful and act completely unchecked. No one to turn to with issues. No 401k contribution. No compensation for work brought in.

I worked at Day Pitney full-time

    Pros

The majority of the people here a nice.

    Cons

There are two older women here that "run" the office, and they aren't the ones w/the office manager title. Don't fall for the hype that they are tight knit family of admins. If the two women don't like you, it doesn't matter what you do, it won't be corrected. Be prepared to be gossiped about behind your back. The mood of the office depends on if these two woman are in the office, which is sadly is daily.

    Advice to Management

    Take back the office.

I have been working at Day Pitney full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The people are really great to work with in my area.

      Cons

Some of the younger attorneys need to understand that they are no better than anyone else. There are employees that are not attorneys but we have Masters Degrees and are as intelligent as they are.

I have been working at Day Pitney full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Supportive, understanding management Good compensation Okay benefits

      Cons

Sick time and vacation are combined Too many older women who complain about everything and never do anything about it Work spaces for support staff are open and it is near impossible to get work done if you sit next to a loud person There is no respect for management Everyone feels rundown and overworked

      Advice to Management

Please get rid of your negative staff. They only bring everyone else down. Also, offer more firm outings to increase morale.

I worked at Day Pitney full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

There are some stellar people in management and as staff. This is a good firm to work for while looking for a different place - looking for one where you can be appreciated and make a competitive wage.

      Cons

Unfortunately this company is so dysfunctional at the partner level that it is just continuing to ride on its previous good name as Day, Berry, and Howard. The staff management are looked down upon and not at all appreciated by the partners. There is a reinforced elitism among the partners that they have created and work hard to reinforce that it even comes to the point where partners cannot be bothered to engage meaningfully...

      Advice to Management

Figure out if you are a law firm or a corporation - because there is definitely no consensus throughout the company.

I worked at Day Pitney full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Paycheck (however underpaid you are) is on time. That’s it.

      Cons

Everything. Do NOT accept employment at this firm. Horrible management, hostile environment, no room or incentive to grow, zero policies and/or procedures, sink or swim environment with ridiculously outdated, sub par technology. ZERO quality of life, no clear definition on who is in charge. Hard to use your own PTO, people managing others from remote offices, no sense of stability or feeling of anything getting accomplished....

      Advice to Management

Get rid of the entire management team and start over. Your Parsippany office is embarrassing.
