Pros

People really care about you here. I'm a relative newcomer, but I really wanted to put a word in for the company since we don't have too much exposure on Glassdoor. My manager: I'm a bit more introverted and in some cases not as confident as I should be. Given this, I have really felt like my manager is super supportive and understanding, yet also straightforward on what I need to work on to be at my full potential. I felt really accountable and welcomed to the team as soon as I joined and that hasn't changed in the months I've been here. It appears that other managers I've interacted with have a similar vibe. My co-workers: I don't directly work with every single person on my team, but I'm always aware of what they're working on, and we're all consistently kept in the loop, but not in a way that's distracting. Everyone here is also very kind, and open to help, whether they're on your team or not. People hang out with each other, and definitely have friendships outside of work. Meetings are also very efficient - I’ve never felt like there’s been a meeting where I think was a waste of time. The work itself: I've learned so much in the past months that I have been here. But it's in-depth enough into each technology that I'm not spread thin. Whenever I'm stuck on something, there's a healthy balance of me figuring things out on my own, and someone being around to help me. There's a lot of cool projects to be worked on in 2020 and I'm super excited to see it all come to fruition. Recruiting: I’ve been at small startups before, and mid-size as well and I’ve never seen a company hire in such a meticulous manner. Everyone in the interview cycle is very thorough and careful and we really, really care about everyone who interviews with us. Each hire is very important to us. General culture + upper management: Upper management is very present in the office, and down to earth with employees, and they are always emphasizing how much they appreciate the work each department is doing. We have plenty of good benefits, and people are pretty relaxed about how much time you take off or when you can work from home - everyone always gets their work done regardless.

Cons

We're still small, so I don't really expect this but 401k matching someday would be nice. One other thing is to have more interactions as the company grows between people who are in different departments, whether that's like office events or offsites.

Pros

Digit is honestly the best company I’ve ever worked for. Management really cares about you and your development and the culture is amazing. How senior management has handled COVID-19 is a great example of just how thoughtful and intentional leadership is here. They acted quickly at the start of the pandemic, keeping our health and safety the most important guiding principle in addition to the health of the business. They have been transparent and have kept us updated throughout all of the uncertainty and have gone above and beyond to support us as employees. This goes from everything to WFH stipends to mental health resources, etc.

Cons

There are some typical start up downsides like no 401k match
