An opportunity to ride the wave of disruption and change the world
Jan 28, 2019 - Business Development Director in Fall City, WARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
A dedicated, resourceful team, pushing hard to transform the insurance/healthcare industry, and empower patients via data. Transparent, direct communication with senior executives. Personal accountability... no politics, your performance is based on the skills and outcomes you bring to the table. Learning opportunity - despite vast experience in the industry I have gained huge insight on all aspects of the industry, from start-ups to entrenched insurers.
Cons
It's a start-up.. success is not guaranteed, but we are on our way.

Good learning experience on start-up culture
Jan 4, 2021 - PR/Marketing Associate in SingaporeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The company is very flexible in finding a good fit for the employee to ensure that they will provide the best contribution. Also allows the employee to learn a lot of information on the job and to get a full experience of the start-up work environment. You will be expected to take on multiple projects and responsibilities which is expected from a start-up.
Cons
Employee and client feedback could be focused on more within the company. Divisions work quite separately so it would be helpful to focus on more collaborative work between departments to gage the full picture.

DocDoc is Not For Everyone!!
Feb 26, 2015 - Chief Executive Officer in SingaporeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The management at DocDoc is committed to building a world-class organization, one which delights its customers, empowers its staff, and rewards its shareholders. It is an organization backed by some of the region’s most prominent investors and has an advisory board comprised of global leaders in the healthcare and IT fields. The fact of the matter is that DocDoc is an “up or out” meritocracy. We are proud of our performance-based culture, and we do not deny that is difficult for some to accept the consequences of not living up to their their own commitments and their peers’ expectations. Startups are hard. The landscape is dynamic, the hurdles are high, and those who cannot perform cannot rely on an elephantine organisation to cover their own inadequacies or lack of commitment. We believe our performance speaks for itself—performance that was generated by those who were good enough to stay. Moreover, we stand by the old adage, “Liars figure, but figures do not lie”: in 2014, DocDoc’s month-on-month growth rate was 18%. The company has expanded into four new countries and also completed a significant new round of funding. If you are interested in working for a company on this type of trajectory with a group of committed colleagues, then we are for you. If not, then, well, I guess you are not—but if not, do not be a “hater”, but rather enjoy witnessing the ongoing development of a world-class organisation.
Cons
There is no place to hide

Pros
I may well be a recent entry to the team, but over my past 4 months at the company I have become part of Doc Doc family. A new entrant to sales, on the job experience has been extremely valuable in honing my skills and giving me the requisite confidence not only to bring on board new clients but also to achieve set targets and rise beyond them, all thanks to the unflinching support of our very motivated Chairman. Doc Doc's CEO, the driving force behind the company is extremely accommodating and helpful, always encouraging his team to strive harder in the best interest of the company. In turn the team is also extremely dedicated towards making the company a success - providing each other the requisite support to take Doc Doc to new heights.
Cons
Like all new start-up's, the company does have some teething issues which result in possible delays meeting deadlines and achieving targets. Once these hurdles are crossed, it'll be smooth sailing there onwards. In the last 3 years the company has grown tremendously and over the past 4 months grown from strength to strength branching out in the field of medical tourism, bringing in overseas patients.
