      It was a 5 star job until Google came and utterly destroyed it.

      Pros

      Pre Google: --Great people --Interesting work --AWESOME engineers --mediocre PM, but I loved that they did talk to the client with us Post-Google: --free lunch

      Cons

      Pre-Google: --some people were a bit territorial and could make things difficult --make a mistake and get crucified Post-Google: --layoff 15% of the people with experience --don't hire them back despite the client base continuing to grow --replace the workforce with people with big degrees and no experience --these replacements were kids out of college who'd rather play all day and do projects instead of work --lack of management accountability --several managers completely unavailable --most managers unwilling to mentor or help with advancement

      Pros

      The training was great. I learned a lot about the agency and publisher products right from the start. Sharing knowledge was encouraged among co-workers, and there was a great team environment.

      Cons

      The demands of advertisers were always met regardless of day and time. It made work/life balance very challenging. It would have been helpful to have better boundaries set by upper management.
