Relaxed atmosphere Many smart people to work with, even though they might be demotivated (see below) Good work/life balance (company-wide 9 to 4:30 mentality) Good place to learn about office politics (extreme learning environment)
Cons
IT is a joke. IT department has not kept up with developments in the past 15 years. Lots of meetings, little or no decisions Everything moves slowly No clear strategy or choice about most things Little real training (internal e-learnings at really low level) No career paths for non-managing staff. Underpaid experts leave and come back as contractors.
