Pros
Great way to meet fellow young people and connect with researchers. Opportunities to coauthor reports and research. Some of the scholars are amazing and make the experience worth it but it is very dependent on the scholars you work with.
Cons
Salary is lower than most other think tanks. No work life balance. Complaints about mismanagement largely go unacknowledged. No upward growth. This is something you should do for two years and then move on. I was put in a managerial position without a managerial title or pay. When this was brought up it was dismissed.
