Pros
BBQs in the summer, annual event paid by employer, tons of different projects, benefits are better than other consultant agencies.
Cons
The performance review is very subjective, even more if you are consultant in the client's site. Even after having a supposedly good experience with the client's management, salary increase was very disappointing. There aren't really any policies to objectively justify a salary increase. When I moved countries for this position, I wasn't provided help with temporary housing support (not even a discount at a nearby hotel) nor a temporary car. I later found out the hiring bonus was low-balled compared to other employees. As with most companies, management matters a lot. Once I moved here, I was dropped off at the client's site and basically never had any contact with Alten's management. Before accepting anything, be sure the position correctly matches your experience and that it is what you want. Specially if it's at a client's site. At one point it felt that management just wanted me to get hired anywhere, regardless of how good or bad my fit for the position was.
