Pros

911 experience It says I need at least 5 words for "Pros" and I can think of none other.

Cons

Horrible co-workers that did everything they could to make things stressful and difficult. I worked there for a short time and I am not one to fold and break under extreme stress but I did here AMR Santa Clarita. There was zero room for error on the smallest things and no patience for employees, creating a toxic environment not conducive for learning. Oly 1 person there helped me out and she was a nurse visiting giving TB tests and she had to pull me aside and ask if I was ok and felt she had to talk to my manager after seeing how I was being treated. This did absolutely nothing because management didn't care. Quitting this job was literally one of the best things I've done with my life, looking back and remembering the stress they created gives my extreme anxiety to this day. The only person that tried to help me out instead of break me down was an AMR nurse giving TB tests for the day, she felt she had to pull me aside after what I would call a 6/10 stressful moment at AMT where I was being chewed out for no reason in front of the entire crew and ask if I was ok. She then proceeded to talk to a manager about the situation which did absolutely nothing.

Pros

There’s a good workforce here with employees who are well united on issues a strong sense that the company is actually pushing toward a positive future in terms of operations. Ambulance fleet seems to be getting good upgrades and call volume (in most areas) is manageable. There is also a good amount of OT available with bonuses/incentives available. Matching 401k is nice and health benefits are very reasonable.

Cons

For being such a large operation, the pay rate seems to be lacking as of right now. Most employees with adult responsibilities are having to rely heavily on overtime/incentives just to have a semi-comfortable lifestyle outside of work. Uniforms definitely need improvements and training for new EMTs seems a bit lackluster. The morale can be low at times also due to the company being write-up happy (for lack of a better term). Lack of 24 hour units and proper posting locations makes for a somewhat harsh work day as well.
