Pros

Pay and benefits. Coworkers were mostly great.

Cons

Company was horrible to people. Treated like all you should care about is the company and family commitments be damned. Continental shift was damaging to body, mind and spirit.

Pros

Weekends off, excellent co-workers, decent rate of pay. Good benefits, easy jobs.

Cons

This could be considered a pro to some folks, but continental shifts. In the packaging department, when things get "busy" expect to be put on 12 hour shifts for an undisclosed amount of time. I worked first as a temporary operator then after a couple months was hired on full time by the company. You are given a performance review monthly, I was doing great by my supervisor's reviews. I had passed two with flying colors. I worked 89 days of a 90 day period and was let go, for no reason of course. This lead me to question why as my performance reviews and attendance were always positive. This is a company that will use you up and screw you around. The HR department is less than responsive. I was given a number to call and find out why my position was terminated. As for some reason this could not be discussed in the board room in which they fired me. My calls or e-mails were never returned. It should be noted that an offer of employment was made to me knowing that I would be getting married and thus having booked a week off of work previously. So, not a month after I got married I was let go. Training is also a big deal, you have to constantly pester your lead hand or supervisor to train you on something new. I was stuck at one point filling boxes for 3 weeks while people who had less seniority than I got to learn new, more involved jobs. As much as I asked, no one seemed willing to train me.
