Pros

Alcoa provides a competitive wage (not leading) but does demonstrate a level of job security that is not common in the industry.

Cons

Alcoa is a "good'ol boy" business. Women are not found to advance in the Operations and Engineering fields -- only men. Women are pigeon-holed to the financial, quality and training environments. A great place to have someone above you to take credit for your work!

Pros

Ability to work 100% remote.

Cons

ITAS OTC Manager has no clue how to manage, encourage development, or plan growth. He was too busy trying to keep his skills up and not actually cultivate newcomers and manage well. I felt alone and not supported by my manager. The environment is not great for newcomers to the company. The team supposedly has so much work, but was able to lay me off after returning to work from health event. Complete and utter joke. They do not honor their core values. Beware of this place.
