False Promises, Forced Exits, and Zero Job Security - Data Scientist Algoworks Employee Review

One of the most unethical and unstable companies I have experienced. Hire employees without proper project planning, only to remove them within a few months when there is no billing. Many employees were suddenly removed after 3–4 months, and a large number disappeared from the company in a very short time. I was hired with promises of projects, team growth, and stability, but after joining, there was no proper billable work available. Even after completing my full 6-month probation period, the system still showed me under probation. When I questioned HR about it, they delayed the response and later suddenly claimed that my probation would be extended because there was “no project.” I was also told that the project I was hired for had not come through. The most shocking part was the exit handling. When I questioned why the probation extension was never communicated during the actual probation period and asked about my 3-month notice period obligations, instead of providing a fair and professional answer, the company abruptly removed me and blocked my account access. Despite claiming there were no projects, employees were still pushed to work on heavy internal, unbillable POCs with unrealistic deadlines and late-night pressure. This company seems more interested in avoiding notice pay and legal obligations than treating employees fairly. Employees are pressured into resigning or are suddenly removed instead of being given transparent communication and a proper process. HR support was practically non-existent. There is no employee security, transparency, or professional ethics.
