Pros

Majority of employees are very friendly people and easy to get a long with. There is a culture of helping others out. If you ask someone a question or for help, if they can't help you, they will find the person who will. It's also a very open door policy. If you have an immediate need and a VP is the only person around, you can knock on there door. Apex Learning has an amazing product and won't back down on their mission of providing high quality rigorous curriculum, despite feedback from clients who feel it's too challenging for their students. The company also does a great job at hiring employees who view education as high importance.

Cons

Leadership and management is very poor. Many managers and directors appear to get promoted based on either personal connections with those above them or seniority. You will find that not only do Apex Managers tend to have little qualification for their job but that they also lack the traits to be leaders and manage a team. In my time at Apex I have also witnessed an astonishing lack professionalism from their management team. There is a lack of communication between teams. Many departments have a tendency not to loop in steak holders when making decisions. The lack of communications results in ideas not being well vetted or researched. Being in a department that is effected by these types of projects can end up being very frustrating.
