It is an incredible environment for free thinkers & team players who want to play a huge impact in moving the needle in growing an incredible business. Have a project idea? You can run with it at AppSumo regardless of what team you're on. Good ideas are celebrated and given the fuel they need to fire up positive change in the business. Small teams and companies can so often be run on the same beliefs they were founded on without any room for innovation or improvement - that couldn't be less the case at AppSumo. The whole ethos is to develop new strategies, put them to the test, and make a positive impact. Would highly recommend AppSumo to any self-starters that want to have an outsized impact in actually making a difference for a business and enjoy having the types of coworkers who feel the same. Cons
AppSumo can sometimes not be the right environment for people looking to enter into extremely well-defined roles - as a growing business there is room for advancement and change and even cross-departmental/functional work for even entry level employees. For some this might not be desirable, but it's one of the exciting things about working on a smaller team. With that said, these types of efforts are rewarded in fair and meaningful compensation + in my mind is more indicative of room for career growth than anything else.
