Overall great place to work. Great benefits I think the paycould be more competitive with the industry, but I think it's fair for the workload. Ive been at places that try to kill their employees by overloading them with work and it's not fun. I'll give up some pay to have a great work - life balance. And Apple strives to give it's employees that. It's really much like a family. They care when things happen in your life like the a baby born or birthdays. They announce promotions, etc. If youre looking for perfection in a company good luck searching. Company Culture is important to me and Apple has a great culture. I love it!
Cons
I think the poor reviews are due to sometimes there are workplace politics, but hey, what workplace doesn't. Also, things can depend on if you have a good manager or not. Which is typical for anywhere you work. The good thing is HR tries to work with you and move you to a better fit if you do things the right way by getting them involved at the first sign of an issue.
