Pros

-Nice office location/ interior design -Some very smart and nice people that I learned a lot from -Work/Life balance is very solid (but this can change per team and the individual's lifestyle)

Cons

Very bad office politics (including management not being reachable, bureaucracy from Allstate, and employees/management talking smack about each other). I got called names ranging from "intern" to my group's "kid" (I should clarify this was only a few bad eggs).

Glad to hear you enjoyed who you worked with and the positive work/life balance we’ve achieved at Arity; we think these are two of our biggest strengths as well. We have hired more than 140 people in 2018 alone, bringing our total global headcount just over 350. Adding so many people in that short amount of time is exciting, but also challenging. We’re working to find more ways for employees – new and existing – to engage better and get to know one another. Because you’re right, we’ve heard before that growing and working at the rapid pace we do have caused us sometimes to lose sight of what’s happening outside our own area of work. For that reason, we started holding Global Product Demos, Lunch ‘n Learns and All Team Meetups – hopefully you had a chance during your internship to sit in on some of these companywide team presentations. These have already show an improvement in overall awareness amongst team members, and we’ll continue to explore ways that bring us together, showcase great work happening across the company and build positive working relationships.
