- Overtime is a norm, most people work 9-10 hours a day w/o being compensated - CEO Hisham behaves rudely with employees, treats them like crap & exploits them - He loves to play blame games & views those more competent than him as a threat

Healthy work-life is most important to Arkhitech work culture which is ensured in our daily working routine at every step. We definitely do not encourage late sittings however if there is any critical delivery or resource wants to complete their tasks, we facilitate them best by dinner food reimbursements. Further, we have a check-in/check-out system and the report is shared with an employee on a monthly basis whereby employees generally average 9 hours of office time. This seems to come from an employee who himself just to get to another place lied about serious medical case of his family, and then abruptly left causing financial and professional damage. This particular employee was hired on an ethical training agreement as he had potential but was struggling in his career with working at odd companies. The employee struggled with his in-house deliverables for over two months, but then finally added to a client-facing project afterward. Suddenly the employee shared their desire to quit as he was having family medical issues. His resignation was approved and relaxation given on notice period to be just two weeks to allow for transitioning of resource in the client project. Nonetheless, the employee left on the first day of the month thinking and later we came to realize that he had lied about family medical issues as we got a screening request from a company where he got the job because of the paid training received. We shared unethical deceiving behavior of employee with the company and he was extremely mad about getting exposed and use the anonymous social platform like these to malign the company image.

Pros

I learned a lot during my time there, especially through hands-on problem-solving and exposure to real projects. The team members and colleagues were friendly, supportive, and willing to help whenever someone was stuck. Working culture within the development team was cooperative — no office politics or leg-pulling. Good learning environment for interns or fresh graduates who want to build skills quickly. The CEO personally invests time in teaching and explaining things.

Cons

As employees gain experience, compensation and growth do not keep up. Instead of rewarding growth, it sometimes feels like experienced employees are considered a cost, not an asset. Extremely high level of micromanagement from the CEO. Tasks, decisions, even minor details often require his involvement, which slows down productivity. Lack of trust in both employees and management. Many decisions bypass managers entirely, which makes leadership roles ineffective. Many managers and experienced staff have left, resulting in a weakened structure. The company currently relies heavily on interns. Office administration and internal processes are poorly organized, creating unnecessary stress and inefficiency. Very restrictive and stressful leave culture. Employees are often required or pressured to work on public holidays, and “earned leave” is used as justification instead of fair policy. Even if you have annual leaves available, taking leave near holidays (e.g., Friday or Monday) is discouraged or penalized. Taking a leave next to a weekend or public holiday is counted as 1.5 days instead of 1. The CEO personally questions why employees need leave, making the process uncomfortable and demotivating. Overall, leave policies feel designed to frustrate employees rather than support them.

Pros

Nothing I can thing of to mention.

Cons

The company consistently finds excuses to delay or withhold payments and shows little to no respect for employees, regardless of gender or position. The CEO frequently shouts at everyone from office staff to software engineers without any professionalism or boundaries. There is no proper internal management or structure, and salaries are well below market standards. The office location is also uncomfortable and unsafe for female employees; inappropriate behavior from outsiders is ignored, and the CEO refuses to relocate, claiming it’s his personal property. Employees are expected to take on multiple roles beyond their department whether IT, QA, or development and to work excessive overtime. Attending client meetings after midnight is often expected without any compensation or consideration for personal time. Moreover, the tools and technologies used are extremely outdated, and the company urgently needs to transition to modern, efficient technologies to stay relevant. Overall, this is not a healthy or growth-oriented environment, and employee well-being is not a priority here.
