Pros
great for aspiring health professionals (ie nursing, PA, MD). weekends were free and sometimes available for OT pickup but not mandatory! many specialties internally so some of patient care was easier due to this.
Cons
practice takes on too many patients and doesnt have the resources to fulfill appt requests. once covid hit there patients reported less ability to see their own PCP or atleast book within their practice location. for employees - confusing merit raise system and even scoring highest merit awards you a raise or 50cents. also - when staffing is low, company will use an agency to fill in gaps ~ these hires are typically inexperienced and unmotivated to work, receiving superior base pay, $25-35/hr
