Pros

-culture that acknowledges hard work and merit... i dont see favoritism and no relatives of managment work at company as of now... bosses give credit where they're due -flexible work arrangement... workforce is distributed across the country as well as internationally... more than half the employees are fully remote... locals are not required to come into office -some technologies are top notch in their field -strong company vision from leaders -coworkers are all nice and pleasant -good health care plan

Cons

-your direct boss's management philosphy will affect your day to day... -many coworkers are remote... hard to foster tight bonds -an upcoming deadline means work can be hectic for weeks... -projects can change quickly

Pros

Get to wear a lot of different hats, never a dull day Self teaching opportunities and time to explore

Cons

My second pro is also a con in some ways. But it forces you to go outside your comfort zone and take initiative

Pros

- It's a startup, you will be given a lot of opportunities and freedom to make the position your own. Great opportunity for fresh graduates who want to get their feet in the door. - Employees are hardworking and extremely knowledgable. - Schedule is fairly flexible

Cons

- Downside to being in a startup: you are expected to work long hours. Managers may even call/text you after hours to ask you questions and to do things. The work-life balance is non-existent. - Filled with micromanagers who secretly keep track of when you're in and out. Very reluctant to allow you to Work from Home, it's like they don't trust you. Quick to praise you when you work extra hours, but the moment you're late in the morning or leave a little bit early, they will call you out. Very hypocritical when the Execs will disappear for "coffee breaks" for hours - Company does not invest in your career growth and will often give you menial tasks, rather than taking the time to mentor and teach. - Nepotism at it's finest. Execs and Managers play favorites, and it really shows. Certain execs are unprofessional and childish. They run the company on emotions, rather than professionalism - Zero transparency between Exec Team and employees. You will only be given vague future growth plans and company visions. It's hard to work for a company when the company vision is unclear.
