Pros

Getting a paycheck, which by the way, is not competitive with other relocation companies. You get free water and coffee in the office. The coffee tastes like dirt and 90% of the time the water machine doesn't produce ice. They have a lot of bathrooms in the office but most of the time they are dirty and people are doing inappropriate things in them. They have security cameras but no one is watching them and anyone can just walk through the main floor security and come straight upstairs. They have a kitchen that has a bunch of unhealthy items that are expensive. If you decide to bring your lunch they provide refrigerators but people love to eat what you bring so you better have a lock on your lunchbox. If you like working for a company that is exciting, fulfilling and will help you grow, Brookfield is not the company for you. As you can tell, none of these are "Pros"

Cons

I worked at Brookfield for over six years and I have never been around so many soul sucking and negative people in my life! First off, if you don’t have a “Team Lead” or higher title managers won’t treat you with respect. The company doesn't look for people that actually know relocation inside and out, they only promote people that “play ball” and do wha they want without asking questions I know this to be true because I tried the “work will speak for me” approach, then I realized I wasn’t going to go anywhere unless I knew the right people and did what they wanted. Most Managers at Brookfield don’t actually know how to do the job of their employees on the team. They will keep giving you work and add things to your plate, but if you walked away they wouldn’t last a second because they don’t know how to do the job. Managers don’t communicate budgets, values, client updates, and any other important information. You have to rely on yourself and figure it out. Managers also make up their own rules and play favorites, allowing some people to work from home while others have to come into the office every day. The structure is absolutely atrocious. Most of the internal departments are outsourced to India and nothing gets completed in a timely manner, plus communication on anything is unheard of. The office is horrible with outdated equipment, old chairs, old desks, and it’s just an ugly place to go into every day. Here is a short list of negatives: Long hours, negative people, no communication internally between management and throughout the company, outdated technology, lackluster benefits, horrible atmosphere, no company direction or values, office politics. Overall, Brookfield doesn't care about their employees, they will get rid of you in a second to save money. Do yourself a favor and don’t work for Brookfield.
