I worked at Bamboo Rose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

work/life balance - but only because no one is keeping tabs on you. Occasional summer Friday's. The people are friendly.

    Cons

This has got to be the most disorganized organization I've ever been a part of. Where to even begin... the company is unable to properly forecast a short-term budget and is extremely stingy with spending money. It is nearly impossible to get contracts approved. The majority of upper management is all located in the Gloucester office and has no accountability for what takes place in the Boston office. CEO needs to be... phased out, doesn't value new or innovative ideas - likes to stick with what's been done in the past. Product functionality isn't there. Internal teams are not on the same page, and rarely have any idea what is going on in the company as there is no transparency from upper management. No urgency on projects or deadlines. This is a place where you can get by doing very little as long as you can manage up well. No room for growth. Certain VPs will say and do anything just to appease upper management. Office is old and falling apart, black debris falls from the ceiling. Benefits are mediocre, but no dental/vision insurance. Lack of company culture.

    Advice to Management

Remove the baggage from this company and hire leaders who know what they are doing and will motivate their teams to allow the talent that is there to shine. This company has a lot of potential to be great if the correct people are brought in and CEO is phased out.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Bamboo Rose full-time

    Pros

Summer Friday’s. Good work like balance.

    Cons

Leadership does not listen or empower employees to make decisions they should be making. Yet blame employees when their decisions do not work. CEO is rude and disrespectful if you aren’t on her good side. Account management has a lack of leadership and purely reactive approach to when he feels pressure from above. There are no developmental opportunities for junior level employees. There’s so much potential in... employees- start investing in them and stop this “sick or swim” approach while the CEO enjoys watching people sink. Stop putting free products in contracts in hopes they will be successful. Lastly, please hire a Human Resource team. There is way too much that is happening that should be brought to the attention of a real HR team. Shocked legal actions haven’t been taken.

    Advice to Management

Leadership should start taking some accountability for their poor and irrational decision making.
