Pros

BioRender has built a truly great product with a meaningful mission and strong market position. The caliber of talent here is consistently impressive - team members are sharp, hardworking, and genuinely kind. Leadership invests real effort in building a culture that celebrates wins and supports career growth. The pace is fast and the work is hard, but it's uniquely rewarding building for science alongside people who care deeply about getting it right.

Cons

Like many companies at this stage, BioRender is still building out foundational operational infrastructure to match its growth. This comes with some growing pains that creates some day-to-day choppiness, but leadership has shown genuine commitment to resourcing these gaps.

Pros

GTM at BioRender sits at a pretty unique place in the startup world today: profitability and growth both in the double digits, a very strong executive team (ex-Toast VPs), and an outstanding product with an AI moat that accelerates scientific research. 2026 is an exciting year to be a part of our next phase of growth, with new products in the pipeline and GTM upgrades like a best-in-class solutions consulting team. I've found the GTM org to be very healthy - strong culture, leaders and colleagues who support you, and excellent career growth. Work life balance is valued, and remote work is respected while opportunities are also created to connect in-person as a team.

Cons

I was hesitant to join BioRender after seeing negative Glassdoor reviews, but decided to trust my gut from my positive impression of the GTM team during my interview process. There are a lot of toxic startup cultures out there, and I wanted my next company not to be one of them. I'd encourage any GTM professional with the same concerns to join BioRender; the reviews do not hold up in reality. We definitely have areas we could be doing better - see my advice to management below.
