Pros

Talented and collaborative colleagues who genuinely want to help each other succeed - the people are one of the biggest reasons to be here. Work-life balance is respected - there's an expectation that you get your work done, but not that you're online around the clock. Smaller team size means you get real exposure across different functions and can take on meaningful work early.

Cons

Recognition and appreciation could be more intentional - it's easy for strong work to go unnoticed in a fast-moving environment. Organizational changes and shifts in direction can make it hard to maintain momentum and long-term focus. Communication from leadership isn't always consistent, which can leave teams feeling uncertain about priorities.

Pros

Remote work is really the only pro that this company has left.

Cons

I have had the pleasure of working for Blend for multiple years and have witnessed a shift in their priorities from employee-wellbeing to profit. Upper management will take your resources to do your job, replace them with cheaper products, and then complain about your performance. You’d be lucky to be one of the ones who makes it past one of their many layoffs as well. You will put your blood, sweat, and tears into this job and will not be rewarded. Measly raises and unfair pay is a huge issue as well, putting employer morale so low. People are paid below half of their market value and expected to keep their heads above water.
