Pros
Nice colleagues Discount card Parking onsite Good for young ones who needs a Saturday job Leaving
Cons
- No training schedule or support in place. -Management who let power go to there heads. -No management support. -The hours where awful, some days finishing at 10pm and some days starting at 6am. Yes it’s retail but back to back shifts where horrid, no continuity, it made you feel awful. -The pay is horrific for the amount of work you do... -To much responsibility and stress -I’ve had colleagues even tell me they have never became supervisors when they had the chance, because the stress of a supervisor job wasn’t worth the extra twenty pounds a week... say it all. -Those who did exceed within the company where ‘brown noses/good friends’ outside of work with managers, even though when I witnessed a newly promoted superior speaking to staff and customers in the most awful and horrendously offensive way. They where never punished or had a warning even though management was aware.... corrupt! - If a toilet was blocked it was somehow my issue? Didn’t tell you that on the job spec, I refused, I’m not a cleaner, or applied for a cleaners roll. -They have a pathetic negative view against ‘snow policy’, if someone can’t get in because they don’t want to risk there lives or damage there cars, you should be a bit more understanding not aggressive towards them... Holiday wasn’t given on a first come first serve bases, it was given to staff who where favoured by managers. I feel embarrassed almost saying all of this stuff! But it’s true unfortunately , it was just a nightmare... utterly. It’s not until you work somewhere that is so positive that you realise how bad it was. All in all, I hated every second I was there. And the best part of my time there was walking out the door for the last time.
