Pros

The main benefit is the people you work with. The majority of the staff are lovely people, I personally had an amazing manager but this can be a gamble. Benefits wise is pretty mediocre, discount card isn’t as good as competitors. Good pension contributions, sick pay and quite flexible if you have a good relationship with your manager.

Cons

The equipment is awful, it’s all very outdated and struggles to function with some systems running Windows 98. Helpdesk can be helpful in fixing it somewhat quickly. Managers can be difficult, sometimes expecting more than is feasible when staffing, how busy the store is and incoming stock replenishment. I would say there can be problems with workplace politics, can be very gossipy. Little room for progression above Team Leader
