Pros

-Great people on the delivery team -PTO is good

Cons

Unfortunately the reason Burtch Works is a poor place to work is because of the CEO. The team size that was once around 60 at the beginning of 2023 is now less than 20. Some of this is due to market conditions affecting the staffing industry but most people left due to lack of trust with the CEO. There have been multiple directors who have left the company due to their relationship with him as he's lied internally and externally ad nauseum. On multiple occasions when an employee resigns, the CEO attempts to control the narrative saying "this was a mutual decision" in order to make himself look better. This is silly because the small delivery team that still works here are very close friends so they can tell he is lying to protect his image.

Pros

There was money to be made and some coworkers are enjoyable.

Cons

The CEO can talk about every big idea he has over and over again, but you will never see it happen. Every conversation he has is an overexaggerated version of what actually took place. If you ask a question that reflects on him, you are only giving him the chance to build his ego. No one is happy, and no one will ever be happy here. This place is a high school hallway where everyone talks about each other, spreads rumors, and causes problems. You find two good people, and you're lucky if that. Everyone used to know what they were doing, but the CEO has made everyone so beaten down that nobody knows what they're doing anymore. On their best day, sure. On every other day, it's like watching your grandma try to unlock her phone. Morale is so low, its disappointing to see people come in and change overtime. Bonding with your coworkers is forced, and company trips to Cincinnati are required to do the weirdest activities and talk about things that could be over Teams. Its strange when every other place I've worked has allowed me to have a drink at dinner but here the CEO doesn't you to drink when bonding with the team at activities.
