Pros

I loved my team members and the effort we put in to our projects. I was also here during an exciting time for the company (rebranding, geographic expansion and acquisitions) so that was fun. Working in the Austin office downtown was enjoyable - close to restaurants, coffee, entertainment after work, etc. Bury also has a social committee that plans monthly events, and those were great too.

Cons

The only benefit that really stands out is the high-deductible health plan and HSA. Bury has historically paid the premium for the plan, which means that nothing came out of my paycheck for healthcare. And each pay period, money was put in to a savings account to use on healthcare costs. Beyond that, the PTO is just "okay." When I was here, they switched from 15 days (10 vacation, 5 sick) to 13 days PTO (use however you want). Many were upset that days were lost, especially parents who used all 15 days with sick kids. But the company is listening - I think they've lowered the amount of years that you have to be here before you start earning more days off (used to be 5 years, now I think it's 3?). I earned overtime, which was nice for the bank account, but I grew tired of always putting in 45-50 hours a week. It almost became expected of me. Willing to put that time in when needed for deadlines or heavy workloads, but didn't have much work-life balance. The company puts on a good "culture" face, but I think there's still a lot of work to be done. Employees show up on day 1 and after a quick orientation and tour, we're dumped at our desks to start working.

Pros

This is a great place to work, but with an uncertain future. The office is centrally located, it is comfortable and very nice. Colleagues are great, there is a sense of friendship and great inter personal relationships. We have a social event once a month for the entire office, and many lunch and learn programs (pizza supplied by management).

Cons

Branch office, little bit of a redheaded step child. I've experienced that before and have tried to break through by offering my department's services to the other offices. This is still going slow and not heavily supported by management. The other item is that this office used to be a different company that was bought out, and that still seems to affect things.
