Pros

I honestly can't tell you one "pro" of going to work here.

Cons

Unpredictable work schedule, "on call" will leave you close to home waiting for the phone to ring. Walgreens account will leave you hungry part of the year with very slow freight. The work is back busting (literally). CPC management is powerless and pretty much are there for no reason. Walgreens management and dispatchers at the warehouse are unapproachable and generally not nice. You can look forward to being mistreated, accused of damaging trucks etc. I've never had problems with past employers by the way. Do yourself a favor and pretend you never heard of them and MOVE ON! Do it for your sanity and your family.

Pros

At CPC, drivers are compensated for every minute of on-duty time. With time and a half for anything over eight hours. Weekly paychecks usually have a healthy amount of overtime. CPC is one of the largest providers of private fleet service drivers in the US. A majority of our 3,500 plus drivers are career professionals who can do what it takes to accomplish our 24x7x365 mission: deliver freight on time, safely. When you have a large team/family like this you feel certain you can accomplish anything and when you have easy access to your chain of command all the way up to the president of the company you feel supported. You might find higher pay elsewhere but you won't find the care and support for your well-being and family life like you will here.

Cons

It can be tough to schedule off duty activities and appointments. Loads are reliant on multiple team members from loading at the warehouse to relays bringing your trailer to you. Weather and breakdowns can affect everyone's schedules - you have to be flexible. Hopefully you have family and friends who understand.

Pros

Paychecks are good. Make decent money.

Cons

Slip Seat, shared trucks. Trucks governed very slow, between 62 and 64 MPH, no passing power on the road at all. Driver facing cameras, and no smoking in the trucks. Gets old, seeing as a truck driver spends the majority of his waking hours in or around the truck. Equipment is owned by the Contracted Customer, who sets the rules regarding the equipment. CPC does not own trucks, they deal with private fleets, supplying the Drivers.
