I worked at CPC Logistics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Company has been in business for years by contacting with larger business. Steady employment and decent benefits. Easy to be hired on as a Driver.

    Cons

Wages lower than regional averages. Management is not consistent with policies and procedures. Extra incentive pay being diminished. Wage increases are years apart.

    Advice to Management

They need to remember that the little people trying to make a life for themselves are the ones that bring money into the Company by their services. This is what pays upper Managements cushy Salaries.

I have been working at CPC Logistics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's good money when they have the routes for you. There is a lot of local runs, so your home quite a bit. And they do guarantee you 40 hours a week. They give a $1,500 sign on bonus to whoever you recommend and yourself as well.

    Cons

You working a tentative on call schedule, meaning you have to call in everyday to see if there's a loan. You don't have a set schedule you can in on Monday and have a start time of 6 am but have no for the next shift, the turn around and have 1 am run to S.F. it seems to me that if you've been on the job for more than 5 years then they start to show you a little love. All the senior drivers complain about hours and since the bids are based on seniority they will boot you off of your run they want it. The senior drivers get first crack at all the runs. The benefits SUCK pay way to much and get so little.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your new drivers, because they are the future of your company. Older drivers going to be retiring soon.

I worked at CPC Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits through this teamsters contract. Home every weekend is great, when applicable. Equipment is long term lease, and sometimes kept up to D.O.T. standards

    Cons

Dispatch and management are out of touch with realities of otr driving. Home every week means 34 hours for a restart if lucky, half the time you leave on a rolling dispatch.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to stop micromanaging, they must also realize when crossing an international border, both drivers must be awake to answer questions, interrupting the sleep cycle of drivers, causing an unsafe driving environment.

I worked at CPC Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I honestly can't tell you one "pro" of going to work here.

    Cons

Unpredictable work schedule, "on call" will leave you close to home waiting for the phone to ring. Walgreens account will leave you hungry part of the year with very slow freight. The work is back busting (literally). CPC management is powerless and pretty much are there for no reason. Walgreens management and dispatchers at the warehouse are unapproachable and generally not nice. You can look forward to being mistreated, accused of damaging trucks etc. I've never had problems with past employers by the way. Do yourself a favor and pretend you never heard of them and MOVE ON! Do it for your sanity and your family.

    Advice to Management

CPC Management is powerless and means nothing. Walgreens Management- Believe in karma
