Pros

Good hourly pay. Materialistic safety rewards from incentive program. Safe plant operations. Get a burrito now and then during meetings and big jobs. Over all, good co-workers.

Cons

Major management favoritism to relatives, friends, and favorites for advancement, with experience ignored. Closed eyes to favorites behaviors, punishing hard workers with such statements, "if your not over 16 hours, fine". Includes employees lying, turning off phone while on call, hiding for hour or more before returning to plant, not directly going to jobs, and returning to plant yard and not reporting in. Safety of equipment, and down assigned equipment, awful. From 9 months down times, to ignored legal and safety requests. Neglected equipment write-ups (cry sheets) leading to dangerous results. Upper management contact is hid from employees. They will force you to far away locations, and pay you less. Safety and legal requests, research, training preparation, human resources are number of things they try to have you do on your time. Management quotes "we will look into it" . "we will get back to you about this", means ignored. They will put outside drivers in your hometown plant in front of you, including few year experienced drivers versus 10+ in seniority. They will take your plant work and give it to outside higher paid drivers/locations, forcing unemployment during winter.
