Pros

Really nice office space in Rockefeller. The silver lining of Capvision is anyone below management. Every interaction I had with other research associates, client associates, senior research associates, etc, were positive ones. Lastly, the pay is decent for entry level/fresh out of college applicants.

Cons

Yes, sometimes *sometimes* you get the opportunity to speak with very interesting people from a wide variety of industries who you usually wouldn't get the chance to. Despite this, you're really just acting as a bridge or a 'messenger' between them and the client. The experts can be a pleasure to speak to over the phone, but they really don't care much about you- at least not enough to learn anything about you or create a relationship with you. Conversations with experts would feel much more valuable if there was some opportunity to get your foot in the door, but I would say this is highly unlikely from my experience. There are some projects that come in that might really strike your interest, but for the most part, they tend to be super random and not very interesting. Upper management will try to tell you that hitting target has nothing to do with luck, but it does. This is simply the nature of the industry, but unfortunately at Capvision you have to hit target in order to be hybrid, get a bonus, etc. There are absolutely things you can do to slightly improve your chances of hitting target, but all in all, it is luck. If you tell your managers this, they will probably react by telling you that you should volunteer for more work outside of normal office hours, which is difficult if you want to keep a solid work-life balance. People who prioritize work over everything else are favored and applauded. If you're not someone who does this, it's almost as if you don't exist to upper management. Hours are very long, especially considering WFH is only allowed 1 day of the week. If you are looking for a position in which you can really use your brain, improve any skills, or feel fulfilled in any way- I wouldn't recommend.

Pros

One of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, with strong momentum across multiple regions. Excellent client base with significant growth potential, and relationships that are built on mutual respect and collaboration. Many high-growth accounts still being developed as the company expands its overseas operations — it feels like a unique and exciting time to join. Smart, driven, and supportive colleagues. The team culture is genuinely one of the strongest parts of the company and the overwhelming culture is fun and dynamic. The opportunity to build out a book of business not just in a single region but also globally as the company continues expanding.

Cons

Given the competitive nature of the industry, the workload can be demanding, and delivering strong client service often requires long hours — especially during peak periods. Not the right fit for everyone; success requires patience, adaptability, and a willingness to learn the processes while helping develop newer team members. As with any fast-growing company, there can be typical scaling challenges, but these are improving over time.
