Pros

Unlimited holiday policy. Flexible working hours. Still some highly capable and collaborative colleagues across the organization. High drive to do good and do better

Cons

Senior roles sometimes carry formal accountability, but decision-making authority is frequently overridden by the CEO. CEO regularly oversteps across departments, disregarding functional expertise and established accountability. This discourages initiative and open discussion. Lack of structural clarity on roles, decision boundaries, and escalation paths. HR function sometimes lacks operational competence and often makes commitments that are not feasible or honored. Company strategy shifts every 3–6 months with no clear North Star or long-term direction. High attrition of senior leaders & top talent, with no clear retention or merit-based renewal strategy. Stated vision and mission are misaligned with day-to-day decisions and behaviors. Decision-making is siloed within small groups, leading to poor transparency and communication.

Pros

Working fully remote has been a huge benefit for both productivity and work-life balance. Everyone I work with is incredibly kind and smart, and always willing to help, which makes a big difference day-to-day. Work is not stagnant. I learn something new everyday and it is rewarding both personally and career-wise. I can see myself growing here long-term. Clinical research is meaningful work, and I believe Castor is moving in the right direction.

Cons

Compensation is slightly below market compared to similar roles in the industry.
