Pros
I came into Centegra as a temp, and was hired on in the scheduling and pre-reg department. I was there a total of 5 years. The benefits were amazing, the pay was fantastic. I was not a fan of working the night hours but it was a job. My co-workers were good people to work with. The job itself was not bad, it could be stressful, but I had a high degree of satisfaction from my work.
Cons
We worked in a closed basement room. Which meant, if one person got sick, EVERYONE got sick. The air quality was terrible down there. Because of this, I was sick EVERY 8 WEEKS. It was terrible. And of course, if I got sick, I brought it home to my kids. It was not just me, other employees had the same issues. Maintenance came in and did air quality readings and said the air flow was fine, but it really was not. Because of the constant illness, I missed a lot of work, something that never happened at my previous jobs. Another con was that upper management liked to spring new things on us. It was constant adding departments we were scheduling and then taking them away, and it never felt like we had enough real training to schedule certain department. There was also no real room for advancement. You could transfer into a different department, but it meant taking a hefty pay cut. So, you were stuck where you were.
