When I first joined, the culture was truly something special. Teams were collaborative, leadership was approachable, and the company had a strong product-market fit that made the work exciting and meaningful. People felt empowered to make decisions, experiment, and grow. It was an engaging, energizing environment that made coming to work enjoyable.
Cons
Over time, upper management changed—and so did the entire atmosphere. The shift was abrupt. What used to be a supportive, trusting culture gradually turned into one marked by micromanagement and inconsistent decision-making. Many choices felt arbitrary, with little transparency around the “why” behind them. Communication weakened, autonomy disappeared, and morale took a noticeable hit. The focus moved away from empowering teams toward heavy oversight and reactive management. This created confusion, stress, and a decline in overall team engagement.
