Pros

Generally high caliber peers. Interesting value prop and market position. They claim high comp, but recent interviewing proves they are not as competitive as they believe, even in the current job market (US).

Cons

Unsophisticated and myopic leadership across the org. Culture is set at the top and forces otherwise sane, sensible, and generally bright individuals to act without professional courtesy under the guise of open dialogue. Perception management, politics, and performative always on Slack activity are the common thread among “high performers.” Be wary of anyone who has been there over 2 years - at best, they have learned how to survive in a toxic environment and at worst they are actively perpetuating it. Industry volatility, but that’s to be expected. Believe the reviews and avoid unless you absolutely have no other options.

Pros

World-class talent across the organization. Cutting-edge tech, vastly superior to its competitors. Solving existing problems rather than building solutions, looking for them.

Cons

Demanding, work hard/play hard culture. Entrepreneurial, lots of accountability, no place to hide.

Pros

remote-first culture plus the opportunity to work alongside very smart, high-caliber people who move fast and bring deep expertise across the team

Cons

The environment can feel volatile at times, with frequent shifts in priorities and constant pivots that create uncertainty. The culture may come across as intense or occasionally toxic depending on the team dynamic, and the high employee turnover can make it difficult to maintain continuity, long-term ownership, and stable collaboration.
